Within Ardales Natural Park is the world famous climbing area of El Chorro. This is reached by turning right along an extraordinary road through a beautiful valley.

It is no longer possible to walk along the "Camino del Rey" (The King's Path), as it has been closed, pending repairs.

The path drops down and skirts the iron girder railway bridge.

A large hotel 'El Gargantua' overlooks the river and gorge provides good views from the terrace as well as restaurant facilities.
