Pantano el Chorro -
Embalse del Guadalteba and Embalse del Guadalhorce
Tese are two of three reservoirs comprising the El Chorro reservoir system. They are very big carp and barbel waters. They close to Ardales and the fishing is free. Depths Vary from 2 metres (about 6.5 feet) along the stony shore to much deeper in the centre. These waters are very popular with anglers, and in the summer tourists.
Autumn and winter offer the best fishing, these waters are easy to fish. During summer there are lots of small carp. Guadalteba is a good lake for beginners. This lake can get can get very windy at times in Winter, but in the summer the lack of a breeze can make it very hot
Species
- Pike. Huge pike llive in these waters, with a 16kg (35.2lb) fish caught in 1999. Barbel. Both waters have large barbel. Carp. There is a lot of carp in these waters, with fish up to 10 kg . All the normal baits will catch fish. Lots of smaller fish are available in summer, with spring providing the best fish. Black Bass. As with carp, black bass are present in large numbers in these reservoirs. The Gobantes area is probably the best.
- Nase. Summer can be slow for nase, but the rest of the year provides good fishing.

Species
- Bass are the main quarry here. Carp. The reservoir has a large amounts of carp, mostly mirror carp from 1.5kg to 2kg (3.3 to 4.4lb).
- Pike. This is a good pike area with fish to 7kg (15.4lb).
